Marco Michelini was born in Genoa in 1978. Entrepreneur, fashion designer, superyacht manager, personal shopper, interior designer and CEO of some important companies. In 2006 he creates his character MYFO which has been associated since the beginning with the gun-toting bandit, designed by him, then becoming the recognizable symbol of his art. In 2018 he was born an artist in all respects. Discovered by a former gallery owner, he began experimenting with other techniques, approaching figurative art. The first works inspired by the art of Andy Warhol and Mimmo Rotella are born in the simplicity of his underground loft in Genoa. The positive reception he received in Genoa during the ‘Art and Genoa’ exhibition, where he presented four works, led him to abandon supplies for luxury yachts and to devote himself entirely to cultivating his inclination for art. Driven by the desire to communicate his artistic ideas, he tenaciously promotes his canvases in the galleries of Milan. Eugenio Falcioni, great collector of Andy Warhol and owner of one of the most important galleries: the E.F. Gallery of Corso Magenta, is interested in it and, after a long wait, chooses to exhibit his works exclusively, alongside those of the master Warhol. In less than a year Myfo comes to exhibit at the Cipriani restaurant in Montecarlo where 18 of his works occupy the space previously reserved for Warhol himself. In Milan, during an exclusive party, he is called by Paris Hilton who, after observing a painting exhibited in the room, asks about the artist and after meeting him enthusiastically exclaims “I will not leave here without this work!”. The following day, thanks to the advertising of the millionaire Paris and her posts on Instagram, Myfo receives requests for her works from all over the world. While his name begins to circulate, other exclusive places are endowed with his paintings: the Twiga of Montecarlo and Forte dei Marmi are among the first to exhibit them. The acquaintances of some famous people including the singer Sfera Ebbasta, the stylists Dean and Dan, Philipp Plein and Elisabetta Franchi, the footballer Alvaro Morata, the influencer Taylor Mega allow him to further increase public visibility. Also arriving in 2019 in Arcore at Berlusconi’s home with a painting commissioned by his staff. In the same year he participated in important events and art fairs such as Art Basel and Scope in Miami, Arte Padova and exhibited permanently in many art galleries: the Liquid Art Gallery in Capri, the Arcadia Gallery in Milan, Miniaci Milan , the Miart Space Gallery in Miami. Today he opened a proprietary gallery in Via Ceresio in Milan, the MYFO Gallery, on the window of which stands the Myfo brand that reminds him of the great dedication with which he came to deal full time with his main passion, that for art. Today Marco is also an important figure chosen by the great fashion brand Twin Set for which he is exclusively designing capsule collections that will be released in 2021 and for the next two years, also representing his art in clothing.
