MaryKate Maher is a sculptor living in Brooklyn, NY. Her work addresses nature, not as a harmonious self-regulating state, but as a series of tenuous negotiations and truces liable to fall apart at any second. Maher received her MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. She also studied at the Glasgow School of Art and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Maher has received fellowships from Franconia Sculpture Park, New York Foundation for the Arts, The MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, A.I.R. Gallery and Socrates Sculpture Park.
