Born in Naples, Italy in 1933. He lives and works between Milan and Paris. Del Pezzo studied at the Academy of Fine Art and the Institute of Applied Art in Naples With small and large sculptures, collages, watercolors, and paintings - Del Pezzo's many types of work are full of symbols, signs and innovative objects, which are revisited by the Artists' scrutinizing eye. In 1958, Del Pezzo founded the "Gruppo 58", and he also created the publication "Documento Sud". For the ironic tone and the use of everyday objects out of context, these works refer to Pop Art; but there is a clear recovery of Giorgio De Chirico, Carlo Carra and Giorgio Morandi (Reason, 1967), and the metaphysical painting geometries.
