Isaac Brest is a contemporary artist working in the medium of painting as well as a co-founder of the New York City based, Still House Group, a collective of artists who support a unit of young artists through the exhibition of works and provision of studio spaces. Brest’s conceptually based works present wry commentary on contemporary art practice by incorporating elements of architecture and film; he also works frequently with industrial materials such as sheet rock, sanding tools, plexiglass, and plywood.
