Established in 1987, Haines Gallery has consistently maintained a dynamic position within the ever-evolving world of contemporary art. Dedicated to providing a platform for emerging and internationally established artists from the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, the exhibition program encourages diverse practices with a predisposition for work that is conceptually rigorous and visually compelling. Employing a highly individualistic curatorial stance, Haines Gallery has often been early to identify and support artists who have achieved critical acclaim over time. This is exemplified by our significant US relationships with artists such as Andy Goldsworthy, Ai Weiwei, Monir Farmanfarmaian, Zhan Wang and James Turrell. The gallery is a member of the Art Dealers Association of America. Parallel to the gallery program, in 2003 Gallery Principal Cheryl Haines established the FOR-SITE Foundation, a non-profit artist-in-residency and education program dedicated to the creation of art about place.
