Casa Equis is an art space started in 2018 and self-managed by the artists Diego Beyró and Carleti López Traviesa in Mexico City. The project proposes a fusion between an independent / alternative space and a formal art gallery. You can find a variety of works by emerging artists and others more consolidated which allows a wide variety of prices. Casa Equis seeks to be a warm space for the visitor to approach art from a relaxed place. Being managed by artists of the same generation as those represented, Casa Equis is also a meeting point, coexistence and a platform to generate other projects in addition to common interests. Casa Equis does not represent artists exclusively but represents works for limited periods of time, giving artists the possibility to move the rest of their work from the outside, even in other galleries. Every month there are individual or dual exhibitions where the artists are allowed to intervene in the space with freedom and to cure their own exhibition. One weekend a month the "art market" is organized, where the works of all the artists we work with are exhibited, focusing on the sale and the approach to new collectors.
